Protocols during an investigation:

* Avoid taking pictures in the rain, snow, high winds, or when fog is present,

this could cause false anomalies to appear in pictures.

* Caution of camera strap falling in front of camera lens while taking pictures this could create false vortex-like pictures.

* Avoid taking pictures of reflective objects, as flash reflections can cause false anomalies, such as orbs on film and video.

* Be aware of dusty locations when walking, this will stir up dust so allow the dust to settle before photographing or you may have what it looks like a few dozens of fake anomalies.

* Always check the site through before doing an investigation. Look for any reflective surfaces, lights, dangerous areas such as cords crossing the floor, Wet floors, furniture, loose stairs, etc.

* Avoid strong smelling colognes or perfumes.

Spirits sometimes produce their own smells by using perfume or cologne as they once worn.

* Always write down time and location of any paranormal event, including any unusual smells, feelings, or noises that you might encounter. These notes may be compared later with those of other investigators to see if there are consistencies.

* Always try researching the past history or any information that might be available about the location that you are investigating.

* Any investigator with long hair should have it pulled back before taking any photos for evidence during an investigation due for it being captured in photo's looking like something paranormal.

* Check for any power lines or any other man-made source that might cause unusually high spikes on your EMF meter or other equipment during an investigation.

* Members who have recently attended an investigation are expected to analyze his or her own data in a timely fashion or team up with the group and go over all data. This includes photos and audio as well as video if you have taken any.
